The third floor of the new museum at ANU is called The Mosaic – Identity and Culture in Our Times – and it raises so many questions. What is Jewish culture? Where are its boundaries? Whom can we include in the world of “Jewish” figures? Is there a Jewish cultural code, and why is it presented in this way in the exhibition?
According to the tour guide, Zeev Volk, “one needs loads of knowledge and a fair amount of irony and humor to understand everything that is happening on the third floor of the museum.”
