Lecture in Russian: How Jewish Collectors Changed the Art World

יום שישי, 31.1.25 // 10:00

Lecturer: Natalie Nesher Aman

An intriguing paradox occurred in 20th century history of art – Jews, whose culture traditionally avoided displaying images – were the main influencers on the development of visual arts of their time. A small antique shop in Paris, where the young Georges Wildenstein began selling engravings, over time became an empire that determined trends and tastes of collectors from around the world.

After the lecture, a guided tour at the museum will be held in Russian.
