ANU – Museum of the Jewish People recognizes the importance of making both the physical and digital aspects of the public space accessible to persons with disabilities, and views this as an integral part of our service philosophy and social responsibility.

The accessibility of our website complies with the provisions of Regulation 35 of the Service Accessibility Regulations, including Israel Standard 5568 Part I – Accessibility of Internet Content, which relies on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at Level A and AA.

The website is accessible to a wide variety of persons with disabilities and includes accessibility assistive technologies, such as:

• Website infrastructure that is accessible to keyboard users with or without screen reading software, both from a design as well as a navigation standpoint
• An accessible design that is reflected in the choice of a set of colors that meets the minimum contrast ratio between the text color and the background color
• Keyboard navigation through interactive elements that enables tracking of the keyboard focusable elements
• Keyboard navigation alone, with or without screen reading software
• Support for the most commonly used screen readers in a desktop environment, such as NVDA and JAWS, in addition to navigation with the most commonly used screen readers in a mobile browsing environment, using screen readers such as
• VoiceOver for IOS and TalkBack for Android
• Support for a number of browsers, including both desktop browsers and mobile browsers
• A hierarchical and organized structure of the user interface components, including the uniformity of the design, the location and the spatial organization
• An organized and consistent heading hierarchy for screen reader users
