International Museum Day is held each year in May, in order to raise awareness about the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.”

On May 15 you can enjoy:

  • Free entrance until 5pm
  • Lecture in Hebrew: Databases and Communities: The Museum as a Changing Space, by Hagar Doron, Head of Databases Department (fee: 10 NIS)
  • Lecture in Hebrew: Codex Sassoon: Between Matter and Spirit, by Irit Shapira Meir, curator (fee: 10 NIS)

Kindly note: Memorial Day, 30.4: open 10am-2pm. Independence Day, 1.5: open 10am-5pm
