Mending our Narrative, Harnessing our Hope in this global Jewish moment

Mending our Narrative, Harnessing our Hope in this global Jewish moment

October 7 unleashed an unprecedented ongoing global Jewish crisis, shattering fundamental assumptions about Jewish identity, security, solidarity, and resilience. The ability for the Jewish people to emerge from this crisis with our integrity, strength, and a new coherent binding story is in the hands of Jewish leadership.

Having reached over 20,000 participants, The Jewish Resilience Project (JRP) offers a comprehensive framework to develop both the language and strategy needed to navigate crisis and guide communities toward the Imagined Shared Future that is ours to bring about.

It is made up of two interconnected modules:

  1. Mending our Narrative
  2. Harnessing our Hope

Available formats: In-person at ANU Museum | Virtual/Online | Train-the-Trainer for Educators & Leaders

Personalized for Educators, Leaders, Students, Professionals, and general audiences. Ideal for ages 16 and up.

Every module is between 45-90 minutes.

The Two Modules

Module 1: Mending our Narrative

Only with a functional narrative, can we develop our “Jewish Resilience muscles”.

Module 2: Harnessing our Hope

Long-term resilience demands access to “Hope” in the Now.

Lecture

Module 1 Lecture: In the Aftermath of October 7: Mending the Broken Jewish Story to Find Our Resilience

Places 'October 7 and its Aftermath' within the context of the global Jewish story—past, present, and future. It offers new clarity, purpose, and a collective way for Israelis and world Jewry, religious and secular, young and old, to organize themselves in the pursuit of 'Global Jewish Resilience.'

Module 2 Lecture: Activating Jewish Hope to Navigate Our Global Jewish Rubik's Cube

Six interconnected fronts are reshaping Jewish life—forming a "Global Jewish Rubik's Cube" where every move affects the whole system. Navigating these fronts demands Hope in the Now—a tangible practice we can activate like a muscle, both personally and collectively. Together, we'll explore what makes hope distinctly Jewish and how we activate it to build an Imagined Shared Future.

Tour

Module 1 Tour: Highs and Lows: How the Jewish People tell the Everlasting Story

The Jewish people are a collection of all of ‘principles’ of resilience gained through every high and low of the Jewish story. These principles turn into ‘muscles’ that build the strength and resilience of the intergenerational Jewish people, that our visitors build with us throughout the experience.

The ANU gallery experience includes the Codex Sassoon and October 7 exhibit.

Module 2 Tour: Imagined Shared Futures - How Jews Harness Vision as Memory and Activism in Dark Times

This curated tour through ANU's galleries reveals how Jewish communities in their darkest moments have imagined the future as both an act of memory - preserving what must endure - and an act of activism—demanding what must change.

Testimonials

“The sessions were incredibly valuable and I learnt a lot about the strength of a defined personal and cultural narrative - specifically those which acknowledge the highs and lows of our history.” - Young Adult MASA volunteer

"[The Jewish Resilience Project] frames things in such an accessible way!"

“I think it’s a great way to bring [young people]  into talking about 10/7 and give them permission to tell their own story of its effect. I’m so grateful they had this experience…. I think it’s a brilliant program, and such a powerful way to teach resiliency.” - Director, Gap Year Program

From Workshop Participants:

"This guide and workshop I’ll remember for sure. For me it was not only historical knowledge, it was more about present.
